VISIONARY UBUNTU PEDAGOGY
Ubuntu means ‘’I am because we are’’. Pedagogy is the way we learn. If we are all given the chance to learn in ways that are meaningful to us, then we have experienced a Visionary Ubuntu Pedagogy. We form a community where there is equity and we form space where we matter. Ubuntu Pedagogy is built on these values for all humanity. This is the continued work of our own Ubuntu Exemplar Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu.
The approach is inclusive and recognizes that everyone has unique qualities that strengthens the world. Visionary Ubuntu Pedagogy creates a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and develop their full potential. It also encourages collaboration and critical thinking as well as problem solving skills. In essence, Visionary Ubuntu Pedagogy recognizes that education is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about creating a sense of responsibility towards others and fostering a culture of care and compassion.
WHO IS CHYNAAH
Rev. Dr. Chynaah Maryoung-Cooke is a native New Yorker and a mother of three incredible sons; Stuart Forbes Jr., an Airman and New York Fire Fighter, Nanbal Walshak, Minister and Owner of Fab-Lyfe clothing design and Agriculture, and Noeau Lily Rose, Performing Artist, model and Spiritual Life Coach. Chynaah has been a performing artist for over forty years.

A Visionary Ubuntu Pedagogy: Developing Equitable and Equal Access to Learning is my life’s mission. I believe through the empowerment of community and demonstrating love to all humans, this world can thrive and be a better place. I want to offer that as a Prophetic Voice in this world.
